kitchen hutch hot
When using the furnace on the first time out with our new 2016 Refection 313RLTS, the furnace is really loud and the kitchen hutch wall is very hot - to the point that things in the drawer are very warm to the touch.
We love our travel trailer, just need to get it fixed!
Can you advise what the furnace issue could be?
Planning to call the dealer tomorrow for this and a few other minor issues. hopefully they wont' charge us for something that was obviously not right when we took delivery.

Grand Design informed me that the casing around my furnace apparently is not sealed correctly, or something is loose. Taking it to the dealer next week.
Will let inquiry minds know!

After removing the drawer and investigating for loose or torn duct, and realizing the air was blowing out from around the furnace casing, as per instructed by Grand Design, we had to take our Reflection to the dealer for furnace repair. As GD suspected, the furnace wasn't properly sealed.
Had a couple other unrelated minor issues as well - drain being replaced due to small leak when sink full of water; trim over door being replaced due to bent/scarring from door being out of adjustment before we took delivery(grand design had already sent me this part); kitchen slide needing slight adjustment... all under warranty.
Hoping to pick up our camper soon... ready for next camping trip!
NOTE: took copy of all communication with GD to dealer when dropping off for repairs. Also took the door trim so they could replace (instead of us doing ourselves) since it was there.
Grand Design Customer Service is great - they communicate well (and promptly) through this forum, through Grand Design Owners on facebook, and emails through their website, making them easily accessible.

ok inquiry minds -- furnace is fixed! just wasn't sealed properly. it is not nearly as loud, and doesn't heat up the hutch.
all other issues were corrected as well.
loving our Reflection!

Based on your thread, it looks like the dealer had your rig for about three weeks and was able to get all the parts and perform the repairs? In addition to GD, it looks like your dealer did a good job of completing the repairs in a timely fashion. That is really good news!

The dealer only had the rig for about 8 days before it was ready from the initial repairs, but we had conflict and couldn't pick up until that weekend (several days later). Upon arriving we discovered another part of trim on the door was damaged and left it for them to correct. They had GD overnight the part and we were able to pick up a few days later - just in time for a scheduled trip!
