Oh Marcy and Gary--I am so sorry--she was such a sweet dog that has now left you with sweet memories. We had to put our 17 year old Jack Russell down last year and it is the hardest thing ever. But there comes a time when you know they are suffering that you have to give them that last bit of love. Big hugs at the rally....

Sorry for you loss, can't imagine how I would feel if it were one of our pets.

So very sorry Marcy and Gary,......and understand your feelings. I know with having our Maggie after we lost Gracie was a help but there's still a feeling of real loss and the other ones feel it too. Someday you'll connect on rainbow bridge, but please know we're sorry.

They sure do. Koda was her caretaker, always keeping her eyes clean of eye goobers. He's looking for mega amount of additional attention and playtime.
He also has gone from being a velcro dog to heavy duty velcro. I already said to Gary that Koda needs another dog someday.
Giz just seemed sad but is coming out of it.

It is so hard to lose a pet. One of the hardest decisions to make is to put a pet down. I have had to do that way too many times.
We lost our 13 year old Akita two months ago. We have pictures of him when he was a 7 week old ball of fur.
We were lucky in a way, we didn't have to make the decision to put him down. One of our other dogs let out a loud howl and we went running and found our boy in distress. We held him for about 30 minutes and then he just closed his eyes and passed quietly.
Pet lovers understand that our pets are almost like our children. I hope time will heal the wound of losing your baby.

MS, sorry you had a loss too. Regardless if they go on their own or we make the choice for them it's always a hard thing to go through. Time does heal and we someday will go through this again and again and again. Couldn't imagine life without having pets in it.

The hardest thing about the animals you bring. All you can say is sorry for your loss.
I guess the good thing was for us is it was obvious it was time. Little Lady would walk down the hallway using the wall to keep her vertical. When she would not eat a Premium Saltine Cracker which she could locate at 40 feet though blind and pretty much deaf, we knew it was time.
She had always been our Skywarn dog. If their was a severe thunderstorm within 20 miles she would stand on my chest in the dead of the night put her nose in my face pant, "I am 12 years old and dogs don't live as long as humans, but we smart enough to be somewhere safe instead of inside this tin box!"
Yep, no emergency alert radio necessary when she was around!!!
