Smart kitty! At least she opens the door. Koda just busts out the screen.

That is funny. Yes, fortunate it didn't happen far from home. I have come across some sad campers who's pet escaped and they never found it and ultimately had to leave. I don't have any good suggestion other than a hook as mentioned by LCBoyer.

Thanks for the the screen hook idea. I wasn't even thinking about that, I grew up in an old farm house that had those , how could I've forgotten? She has now taken to climbing the screen door. Never did this in the house. Guess I'll go buy the pet screen which is heavy duty or so they say. Glad mine opens instead of charging through! LOL!

We installed one of these as a screen protector. We bought it at Lowes. The arms were too long and had to be cut down, but it worked great and kept our doggie from damaging the screen in the door.

Did anyone answer you on how to prevent pet from opening door? Someone showed me a simple way and I was almost embarrassed I didn't figure it out for myself. Just fold your stair handle over the screen door! If we don't our three dogs would quickly bolt!

RattieTude,
Thanks, that will work when I'm outside! inside I found if I pull the plastic slide handle down under the screen door handle and slide it close, she can't pull it down to open the door. Makes her mad. Lol
Thanks, again..JJ Iowa
