Meeting my brother and his wife because they are on their return trip back to Del that started in Feb to see the West Coast. Hope its going to be clear sky's. Looking at the track the CD is very close to the center of the eclipse

Check out this web site. If you put in the zip code of your location during the eclipse, you'll see when it starts, stops and the percentage of coverage.

We have 2 spots, in different locations.

Both are dead center in Totality...one is on the farm where NASA is running most of its experiments, in Idaho. The other is also in Idaho, but is with my brother. We have a rig that is set up for taking pictures of eclipses (see picture of last total eclipse a few years ago...a "Ring of Fire"). We work together to take pictures of significant Astronomical Events (Eclipses, Comets, etc.).

Ironically, it's looking like we'll miss out on both! We probably have to head to Denver for my Wife's work... . I may head out separately and meet up with my brother anyway...not sure.

We'll be in southeastern Nebraska with my brother's family. On the 18th, he's retiring ... again ... from the Omaha PD. I joke that it has taken a full solar eclipse to get him to finally retire and stay retired.

I will be working the day of the eclipse. My work van is going to go south of Corvallis, Oregon. I have already found a big hay field to park near.

Here is link to a great interactive eclipse map

I don't know if other states are going to get a million people coming to their state, but Oregon is predicted to get slammed with people. All campsites have been reserved and the forest service even rented out boondocking sites.
