TST Tire Monitor O-Rings

Never though that, do they lose their pairing when you remove the batteries? Doesn't seem like they would affect pairing but who knows.

I don't have this brand TPMS, but my TireTrakers do not lose position when batteries are removed as long as the receiving unit has had power. I always remove the batteries during our 3 month wintering and replace them when we hit the road again in March. I have each sensor marked so I know in which location it belongs.

Hello,
Here is a tip for preserving o-rings. Apply a small amount of silicone grease (Dow 111 or the like) to them. They will last for years. Ozone in the air is the enemy of Nitrile (Buna-N, NBR, Acrylonitrile Butadiene Rubber) o-rings. You could also switch to Viton o-rings as they are made for harsh environments. They will also last for years.

Try your local wholesale plumbing supply or auto parts store (that makes hydraulic hoses). Both should have a large assortment of o-rings

I really like our TST system. They sent extra “o rings” when we made the original purchase, but $6.95 for 6 “o rings”...holy cow!
