This is an old thread but to help others that may have some of the questions asked above. I just got off the phone with TST.

I bought two systems (one 6 pack for my Momentum and one 6 pack for my truck) about a year ago. Worked great for the first couple of month and then gradually, I'd loose communication with one sensor at a time. Approx. 14 months into it, they've all failed to communicate with the receiver.

I assume it was due to batteries. I asked her how I can be assured that they are "fresh" batteries? She didn't know that batteries have a shelf life or that battery packaging has a date or date code.

I then asked what brand of battery they use and it's Unicell. Once I got off of the phone I googled "reviews for Unicell cr1632 battery" and the only reviews that came up were Amazon. I read the first few reviews....enough to determine that I will not be ordering these batteries, I will order another brand...probably the copper top.

NOTE: There is an extra set of O rings and valve stem seals in the box from when I ordered these systems however, if you need to order more here is the kit from RVUpgrades..... https://express.google.com/u/0/produ...AaApjEEALw_wcB

The TST tire pressure sensors use CR1632 batteries. I have used Eveready and Toshiba from Amazon and change them once a year. The Toshiba's that I bought this year were $10.00 for 20 batteries.

One of the vendors (can't remember which one) at the Tampa RV show said that they would give replacement batteries for free! I got 12 and new o-rings!

I have this small bag. 2 different o rings and some small screws. O ring seems too small? Aren't they supposed to go on the outside of the threads to seal cap?

The smaller fatter one, I think, goes inside the sensor to seal against the valve stem. I don't know just how to remove the old one and since mine aren't leaking, I have not tried to change. Don't know what your other O-ring goes to, should be larger to seal the cap. You could call them and see what they say.

I was told they only transmit when under pressure, so if you remove them from your tire they should hibernate.
