I'm just going to go ahead and say it. I feel a tinge of jealousy building since I like barns better than I do houses. That thing is looking awesome, great job!!!!!

I don't think it is big enough, you should probably think about adding on.
I am jealous also , working on getting one built this year , fingers crossed.

At least the weather has been ok for building.

My question is with 3 kids how have you managed no #2 in the trailer? First time out with mine both kids broke it in first 5 minutes we were there. I did't even have it unhooked before the first one was in there.

Slow on catching up on this thread. We built a 44x50 barn of a similar style. We have lived in our 303 in the barn for several years while working on the property. We will be building a house soon, but in the meantime this has worked well for us. We heat the RV with the fireplace and a small cube heater. Neither run steady. The only propane use is the stove cooktop. The 18x40 RV room is foam insulated on the exterior walls and fiberglass on the partitions that separate that room from the rest of the space. The room temp runs around 55*in the Tennessee winters. I have a flexible hose connected to pvc piping for a septic vent. We do have a separate bathroom in the building that gets used as well. Also have washer and dryer and residential fridge to supplement the RV unit. All in all very happy with it.

Tom and Joan- thanks for your reply. I did not think of the washer/dryer but will have the electrical hookups added to plug a dryer in at the barn. Good timing as our electrical/plumbing rough in is happening this week.

Ryan - awesome ! Thanks, for posting more pictures.

We are considering building our retirement home with a large RV garage attached. I sent several pictures/links/floor plans to our neighbor who is a builder to consider a RV/home development area. There are some great looking designs in southern parts of the country. We will see where this goes.
