Grand Design 26RL or 27RL
I'm considering the 26rl and 27rl reflections. Did anyone have this conundrum. I am half ton towing with a 9200 max. Really shooting for the best deal at this point. Thank you all!!!! How do these compare to the imagine travel trailers?
Also, any tips or tricks are welcome. Going tomorrow to make an offer!

Since you are considering the 27RL have you looked at the 29RS? It's essentially the same specs but gives you the center kitchen island and an outdoor kitchen. Both are very nice options I have on my Reflection and enjoy. But if I had to choose between the 26RL and 27RL I would get the 27RL. The 27RL is only ~1.5' longer, same approx weight but provides:
- Both a recliner love seat and sleeper couch for extra seating and sleeping
- Prefer TV location closer to seating
- Prefer linen closet access in bathroom for getting towels

With a 9200 lbs towing capacity you probably have a older F150 so I would make sure you have enough payload for the RV. With a 1498 dry pin will probably be 1800 or more loaded ready to camp. Then the driver, passengers weights, and hitch weight in the truck you need about additional 400 to 600 lbs additional payload over the 1800 pin weight. You will find your max payload for your truck on the yellow sticker on your trucks door jam.
Here is a excellent site to figure you capacities.

Having purchased a few RVs new my advice is don't be afraid to start with an offer on the low side and make many counter offers and/or look for the dealer to include add-ons as part of the deal (fantastic fans, etc). Ask to speak to the sales manager directly if your salesperson doesn't seem open to negotiations. And don't be afraid to walk away and seek a deal elsewhere... With summer winding down i bet you can a great deal!
