    Ohio to Maine

Planning a couple week trip from southern Ohio thru Maine next year. Thinking about making a loop to hit the border route first then over to the coast. Anyone have a route and destinations that they followed already? Any recommendations for places to stay (we usually prefer state parks)?

We did a very similar trip last summer. After the rally in Elkhart, we drove to Columbus Ohio, then up to Ontario to visit Cate & Rob. From there, we headed into Quebec, and down to the coast of Maine to visit my dad who lives near Bar Harbor.

Here is a map of the route we took:

It is some stunning country. We didn't have the trailer with us at the time, but I didn't see any reason that would have prevented me from taking it. In fact, Paul (Poppy's Fifth Wheel) drove some of the same route, then split off in Quebec and took a different route to Maine. I'm tagging him to this post in case he has any other suggestions.

We essentially took the I-90 through Cleveland into New York for a few days at Letchworth State Park. then on up to I-81 into Canada at the Wellesley Island staying a few days visiting with Rob and Cate (along with Jim and Ginnie). We stayed at the KOA there and it was nice. Then we headed up to Quebec City through Montreal for another few days before reentering the US at 173/201. We rook the 201 to I-90. It was a fantastic trip with the minor exception of being "stuck" in Saint-Georges, Quebec for 4 days when my truck broke down
