    water in entry door

Everytime it rains I'm getting water into the inside of my entry door. Not a lot, but when I open the door and shake it I get a fair amount of water dripping out the bottom corner of the door. It's definitely coming from the inside of the door.

It seems the only way water could get into the door is to run down the outside skin and wick in through the glass window frame or the lock/handle. Or maybe the exterior trim at the bottom of the door. Both of these seem to be well sealed. The first step would be to add caulking at these points, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and did you isolate the exact point where the water is coming in?

You can remove the door glass fairly easily and recaulk. We replaced our door glass with a Slim Shade and it took about 20 minutes to do. Would remove and recaulk to ensure you get the area that was leaking.

    Most likely the door window.

It really won't hurt anything, the door is all Styrofoam and aluminum.

Try recaulking around everything if it bothers you.

I've had a door apart so I can't say it really bothers me. Years ago I had a entry door de-laminate. The outer skin peeled off and was flapping in the wind when I noticed it in the mirror. Not a cool sight! I'm assuming that's probably the worse that could happen, and if a simple fix like caulking solves the problem hopefully it will prevent a recurrence.
